excel for mac indent not working on formula

As a worksheet function, the FREQUENCY function can be entered as part of a formula in a cell of a worksheet.

If you do not have brackets around your formula, it is NOT being interpretted as an array formula by Excel.

This would return a vertical array with 5 values as follows.

The result would be 1 (because there is 1 Test Score between 60 and 69).

This formula works if I create a new workbook, but not in the one I have open.

I have checked the preferencesCalculation and the radio button to automatically calculate is selected.

Then I did this: I copied my table filled with data that needs calculations, open a new excel file, pasted the table, and in the bottom right corner of the new pasted table there is in icon that displays two options after you click it: - Keep source formatting (this is selected by default) -Match destination formatting (and I selected this option) Hope it helps.
